Mock Presidential Elections
Introduction: Mock presidential elections happened this year as this was the year where the Philippines would change to a new president. This campaign was to develop the skills of self-promotion and public speaking as students would pretend as if they were the candidates of the real elections themselves. I applied as the journalist as I thought that this would make me have to be updated with all the political news.

L.O.'s:
-
LO5 - I had to work collaboratively with other journalists to know what kind of information should be written on my articles and how I should structure them. I also had to seek assistance on where I had to get more information from for the articles I write. Moreover, on the debate day, working collaboratively with journalists enabled all of us to have notes on what each candidate said thus we were able to have as much information as we could to write up the final article.
-
LO6 - Being a journalist, I had to update myself with local news and the issues surrounding the elections. It developed my awareness of how people viewed the different candidates and why their views were how they viewed them.
-
LO7 - As I was the ABS-CBN journalist, I had to be biased and be slightly more on Grace Poe and against some other candidates. I had to ensure that any comments made would not directly link to the students (that were the mock candidates) and that anything addressed to them would not be disrespectful.
